Shiatsu is similar to physiotherapy and could be described as acupuncture
without the needles.
Applying pressure with the thumbs to specific points on the body, and using
controlled stretches and rotations of the limbs alleviates a wide range of
disorders.
Shiatsu is carried out on a padded mat on the floor with the recipient fully
clothed; loose cotton clothing (track suit or similar) is ideal.
